What To Expect
Visiting any church for the very first time can be an uncomfortable experience. Where should I go? What time should I show up? What’s here for my kids? How should I dress? We want to put you at ease. Our heartfelt desire is that your first visit to Fellowship Baptist is refreshing, friendly and enjoyable for your whole family. We offer inspiring music, practical teaching and preaching, friendly people – a place where you feel welcome. Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
1. HOW DO I GET TO THE CHURCH?
We are located on Peppers Ferry Road in Wytheville, Virginia approximately ½ mile from Exit 41 off of I-77. Just look for the sign. Upon entering our main building, one of our greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes, nursery and auditorium. They are also available to answer any questions you may have.

2. WHAT PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED FOR MY CHILDREN?
We have a nursery available for ages 3 years and younger at each service. There are fun, friendly, safe, Bible-centered Sunday School classes for children 2 years – 12th grade. These classes are staffed with well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. We offer Children’s Church at 11am on Sunday mornings for ages 4-12 years where we have singing, Bible lessons, Scripture memorization and games. All of our teachers and staff that work with children have undergone background checks to reinforce our commitment to the safety of your precious children.
3. WHAT’S THE MORNING SCHEDULE?
Sunday School begins at 10:00 am with classes for every life stage from the youngest child to the oldest adult. Our Morning Worship service begins at 11:00 in the sanctuary.
4. HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
You’ll find that most of our folks dress conservatively wearing traditional “Sunday outfits.” But please don’t feel out of place if you don’t have a suit or a nice Sunday dress. We’ll just be glad to have you in our service and welcome you as you are.
